- We are pleased to announce the 2018 7th GIST-Caltech Workshop on Innovative Research to be held at the Oryong-Hall in Gwangju, South Korea, from November 12th – 13th
- The main goal of this workshop will be to provide GIST and Caltech faculty members with a chance to present their research interests for the 2019 Caltech-GIST Faculty Research Collaboration Grant
- During the two days of the workshop, the progress of the GIST-Caltech collaborative projects will also be presented by the principal investigators from GIST and Caltech.
About the Workshop

Past GIST-Caltech workshops have received much attention from faculty members of both campuses and have been successfully held at GIST and Caltech. To promote the participation of faculty members from both campuses, the 7th GIST-Caltech workshop will be held at GIST on November 12-13 this year.
Presentations by Caltech faculty members may be given either in person or via video conferencing. (Caltech faculty members who currently hold collaboration project grants (PIs) or who applying for the grant for the first time if they attend the workshop to give an oral presentations, will have their travel and accommodation expenses covered.)
The faculty members of GIST and Caltech who would like to present at the 7th GIST-Caltech Workshop on Innovative Research (including the PIs of all current projects) are requested to register and submit the ‘Speaker Information’ on-line by October 8th.

About the 2019 Collaboration Grants

Call for Proposals
- California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) are pleased to invite proposal submissions for the GIST-Caltech Collaboration Grants for the year 2019.
- Deadline “Research Proposal” submission: 2nd November, 2018
- Proposals will be evaluated during the workshop. Faculty members of both institute who are willing to submit research a proposal should participate in the 7th workshop and submit the speaker information by October 8th (oral presentation recommended).
